Transhumanism, its something i feel very strongly about,its something i hope to see in my life time,and i guess in a way i have faith that i will.
now what it is ,children is the elective augmentation and enhancement of the human body through genetic,chemical and mechanical means
e.g. bionic(robot-kinda)arms or bionic legs.
imagine it you could replace any damaged part of your body with cloned parts.
or lets say you have genetic defect, then why don't just get gene therapy.
mind you there dose not have to be problem in order for a transhumanist to "replace" or "upgrade" a part of the physiology
a transhumanist is merely someone who seeks the next stage of human evolution by technological means,and in general they are atheists. as you may have already figured out,i am a transhumanist(or at lest i am working on it)

In this you said something about 'upgrading' the human body. By this do you mean somebody (with the help of science and technology) could one day say; grow wings? gills? or say in a far out science fiction obsessed world mechine guns for arms or something?
Would this transformation from 'human' to 'posthuman' not give a disadvantage to those people with the wealth to 'upgrade' or 'modify' their body? thus eventually making religious or poor people disadvantaged? surely someone who is politcally minded like yourself would see that in an idealistic world these transformations could better the human race to help us expand our horizons and achieve things out of this world. But in the world that we live in today when we will go to war over something like oil this would make all hell break lose and eventually wipe the whole human race out?
Its a very interesting idea which i would love to see work effectivly, but until we (as the worlds population) can realise there's more out there then money, fame and women. This science should not be taken beyound helping people with missing limbs or disabilities better themselves to help them gain a stronger standing in today's societies.
